Its constant but barely noticeable during the day. Its not bothering me yet *touch wood*

Hmmm- if you do, theres no cure you know. I hope you don't.

I am constantly complaining about decibel levels and clubs to the people Im out with but I just feel like a part-pooper. But its true. Do people realise how much damage they are causing their ears? And the decibel laws arent even being enforced. Its horrendous.

My ears always ring for about 2 nights after I go out on the dance floor but they always have but at least it goes away. My friends dont seem to have this problem and it gives them another excuse to call me bionic. Ive always had very sensitive ears.
Dont stand or dance next to the loudspeakers in clubs or pubs!

Yes, Ive been thinking that every time I land in a particularly loud place. But theyre never top of my shopping list when I have to remember what to get.

They arent very discreet though are they- even the flesh covered ones. maybe you can get discreet ones?

Actually that's the obvious answer. While you were staying in that cheap hotel something probably crawled into your ear and laid it's eggs. Once they've eaten the back of your eyes, the noise will probably stop.

Anything for a bit of peace and quiet

Let's hope it doesn't come to that for you, Tom, but some people who are constantly plagued by tinnitus have had to wear devices that mask the sound of the tinnitus.

Oh I couldn't cope with that - tinnitus that makes you feel hungry.

You'd have to keep checking the pan all the time

And if you were actually frying something you'd probably slip into a catatonic state and burn the house down. *shudder*
