Forget everything Nostrodamus said, and the Mayan calendar was wrong as well.

This guy is set to be the death of us all!

With the honey bee facing extinction, many types of agricultural crops and plants are at risk as they will have no way to pollinate. Unless they figure out how to reverse millions of years of evolution.

Research carried out by Cornell University indicates that honeybees yearly pollinate more than $14 billion worth of fruits, vegetables and nuts in the U.S. alone.

This will have a massive implication on our diets and could eventually lead to a world-wide food shortage. One study indicated that famine like conditions could happen four years after the demise of the bee.

So do you worry about bees, or is this story all buzz and no sting?

Wasnt there a story about this in the news during the week? They discovered its a bacteria or a fungus living on the plants thats causing the trouble for the bees. Simple remedy, get rid of the fungus, the bees are happy again.

Fret not most pollinating is actually done by the wind, but there would be other effect we don't know about yet.

It is alarming they are dying of an aids type illness caused by the mixing of different bee populations.

They just have to find a specie who is immune to this disease lets hope they can.

I always knew Jerry Seinfeld would be responsible for the death of countless people.....

Its been suggested that mobile phone signals are interefering with the bees navigation systems.

I think we'll be ok...

There are roughly 200,000 varieties of animal pollinators in the wild

A third of all pollination is/was carried out by bees.

The other insects might have to work longer hours. We'll get there in the end.

Can they not invent something to just make it happen.

you know people could just pollinate the plants themselves or play god and alter another already pollinating insect to work harder but there hard work so again i think humanity (and life on earth) should all call it a day and do what I've always suggested

Blow up the Moon? But if they do that, the wobble of the Earth will be affected and thered be catastrophic outcomes here. We'd be wiped out with it. And even if we were'nt, we would then see the end of all seasons, the end of the tides, the weather would remain static, and the temperature of the planet would probably rocket!
