I'm not quite sure because I made sure to get drunk before hand but I'm pretty sure after I told my mother she told me she thought I had got somebody pregnant when I sat her down and said we need to talk!

Thankfully she was relieved when I was only gay.

Went for a few pints with two of my best mates tonight. We didn't get too deep in emotions but we laughed a bit about the melodrama of my coming out and talked about it, so feeling a bit better about things. Gave them the go ahead to tell the wider circle of acquaintances. At least we won't be politely ignoring it from here on in.

I'm glad coming out seems to be going so well for you, Flogg.

I shall hopefully see you at the next meet.

I came out to my pets today... my cat shrugged and walked off... the dog licked me. Success?

Yea, so far so good. Still have a long way to go but family and closest friends have been cool. It times it's a bit scary, awkward and confusing but at the same time it's very exciting. I suddenly have my whole life ahead of me to life how I want.

I hope to definitely make the meet. Will probably take one of you up on the offer to meet beforehand mind.

Family and close friends are the most important (well, besides yourself of course) so fair play..

If you wanna meet up with myself and Gollumfarrell (and possibly a few others) beforehand in Pantibar or whatever for a few drinks before going to the meet that is no problem at all...

So from what I can gather in this thread being gay is better than having cancer or getting someone knocked up

I don't think there is such a thing as coming out late...I think everyone is different, and better "late" than never.

Right you are, my girlfriend has never come out, she never had "the conversation" her thought was that straight kids don't have to so why did she, she never hid her sexuality either, talked about her girlfriend just as if they were boyfriends, no difference, her parents soon coped on.
