I like the smartphone version of Netflix. I often download torrents, then transfer them to phone and watch them in bed. This makes life a lot easier!

Apparently we are missing a feature that lets you add films and tv shows to a queue. That would be handy instead of searching each time.

I just had a look and considered signing up for the free trial. But then I figured that I can watch everything I want for free online anyway. I know the best sites to use, I download frequently, etc. The fact that we haven't had Netflix for so long could actually work against it. We've had to learn to stream illegally or for free and I can't see many of my friends deciding to pay a monthly rate when it's so easy to get it for free anyway.

Just signed up,
it works a treat but the current line up looks like the bottom of the barrel in the 3.99 each in Xtra.

Some classics and older gems, some 80s goodness and dirty dancing whenever you feel like it at ,say,3 a.m.

It will have to show me that its a lot better over the next few days if I am going to subscribe.

The lack of anything recent will work against it. I'm not certain I will subscribe myself.

Yea, breaking bad for example is only up to season 2. AFAIK they finished season 4 already.

Anybody know what the delay is for new shows/films in the US? Can we expect it to reach that sort of standard here?

Does it have anything to do with their running schedule over here? Something probably woouldn't be available until it had already been shown on an Irish channel (if one owns the rights.)

Well AFAIK Breaking Bad hasn't been shown here, though could be wrong.

Meh, if there's a delay it'll never take off.

I imagine, as more people sign-up they will get better distribution deals. At least we seem to be getting the same feed as the UK and they are a much bigger market so it bodes well for future deals.

At best it will probably be after broadcast hear so could still be a gap compared to when we could rip it. Any anti piracy laws will be a big help for them!

Call me old fashioned but I'd be happy to pay a subscription fee and wait a little than rather than illegally downloading, which is pretty close to theft.

If you didn't illegal download you'd have to either forgo watching it or else pay for the box set/endure ads.

Anyway if we are on the same deals as UK I'll be happy.

To access the American content of netflix, go to www.blackvpn.com & use the code VWNDMMK to get three months for the price of one, (starts at €5 per month). Follow the easy instructions to set it up & within minutes you'll have full legal access to all of netflix, the very latest TV, movies etc. Months in advance of the Irish site. Code VWNDMMK
