Unlikely. I'd never have been given the phone if that was the problem!

Ok, not a computer help issue, but it is communications technology.

The Da has a Samsung GT-S5830 with Three. He cannot receive text messages, and when testing it for him this evening, I saw that an incoming text message produces an error message saying his message centre is full. I think that has to be the message centre back at Three's server farm because I cleared the messages on his card. But I cannot find how to delete messages in the message centre. Any information, Gaire?

So, there are no text messages on the phone, and his voicemail over at Three's server farm is empty, but the phone is still saying his message centre is full and not letting him get incoming text messages. Back to the drawing board with this.

My laptop locked up today, I had to cut the power and when it rebooted every seemed OK but it wont connect to the internet. I just get (Windows could not automatically detect this network’s proxy settings). I watching a couple of videos on youtube to see if I could fix the problem but no luck anybody had this problem on a windows 7 laptop.

First things first.
Did you check for driver errors in your network hardware section.

Secondly, do you have a restore point from before the failure?

Restore point is a good suggestion.

Failing that you could check you haven't turned off wifi on your laptop or try rebooting your router.

@ Superfour and Thomas thanks for the advice but I wasn't able to get it to work and seen its over 5 years old I decided to treat myself to a new one. Ill do a factory reset later and if that solves the problem I know someone who will get some use out of it, if not Ill just use it for storage.
