I just came across this status update by Skalmold, an Icelandic Folk Metal band:

Reykjavik Gay Pride Weekend!

Best wishes of joy and happiness to all of you gays, bis, trans, kings, queens, freaks and other weirdos. And, oh yeah, the straights too of course. Don't forget that we are all the same when it all comes down.

Remember that you can never go wrong in this world when it comes to sexuality, gender, belief, skin colour, nationality, taste in music or pretty much anything else, as long as you are being yourself. You are only wrong when you are being an asshole.

Have the best weekend ever!

They also changed their Facebook background and profile pic:

I've seen many Metal bands being supportive and speaking out for LGBT fans and LGBT rights in general but never seen a band band going so far in expressing their support. This is great to see!

They've very good too, musically speaking!

Nothing like cool, clean, crisp sheets. Not so sure about Flannel though. Are you secretly a lesbian?

That list is scary, it seems like it's probably quite accurate.

The plan was to put granny (98) in a nursing home but now it looks like one of the family are gonna take her. Dunno how they'll stick it though.

Is there anything more cosy and childlike than getting a shower, getting into comfy clothes and walking around on the carpet with just socks on your feet on a wintery day?

So I went on a second study "date" with a German friend and he gave me like the biggest compliment ever.

First he said I looked younger than him, he is only 27 and looks very good indeed. Which was total bullshit, of course but then he insisted that I looked at least under 30!

Bless him!!

A great episode of don't tell the bride, an Irish guy marrying an Venezuelan man in a 1916 themed wedding.

Oh boy, what an experience.
On Friday, When we went to the Mount Jerome cemetery to visit the civilian I'm researching who was killed in 1916, (My aunt and myself went) we were looking for the grave. Weeeelllll, there was a Lady there. She asked us if we were looking for a grave. I didn't hear her ask but my aunt did. She helped us look around but to no avail. The lady, Mrs D, suggested we ask a gravedigger (she phoned him to come to us) and he brought us to the exact place.
Unmarked. We would have never have found it. The gravedigger marked around the boundary of the grave with his foot so we knew exactly where the grave was. Mrs D left and returned with a wooden cross and some artificial flowers. Her parents grave had that wooden cross while waiting for the headstone. When it came, she never threw that cross away. She gave it to John H McNamara so he would have a wooden cross and some flowers.
Mrs D was there visiting her husband's and parents graves, she didn't work there or anything like that.
When her time comes, there's a special place for her in heaven, if you believe in this.
A few of us are now on Project John's Grave. From an unmarked grave, we've started sprucing it up. Next thing... dark wood stain varnish the cross, then inscription, etc. Hopefully it will be ready by the centenary of John's death. (28 April 2016)
He will no longer be forgotten. Thanks to the Sackville House Project.

Christina Aguilera allowing Arianna Grande share a stage with her was one of the most selfless things I've ever witnessed.

Beautiful.
