I don't usually give out about them. I use them regularly and am quiet happy with the service but just got this e-mail and Bah!!! It will probably be €500!

*********

Dear Customer

In relation to your flight reference XXXXX

Ryanair has been advised by the Spanish Government of a budgetary proposal to increase airport charges later this month.

In accordance with our General Terms and Conditions of Travel* we are advising customers with a reservation that includes a flight departing from a Spanish airport that we may be forced to debit passengers for any government imposed increases in airport charges prior to your travel date.

Once the Spanish government budget is published Ryanair will advise affected passengers by email of any additional airport charges that may apply to your reservation before any charges are made.

Please see our website for updates regarding increases in Spanish airport charges.

Yours sincerely

Ryanair Customer Service

Nothing really surprises me with Ryanair.

Ryanair has revolutinised flying to and from Ireland and all other airlines have had to reduce costs , making it cheaper for us the punters.
I would still like to see all airlines quote an all in cost of a flight-not all those bloody add ones-u think u are getting a cheap flight, but when all extras are included, cost is totally different

There's hardly a country in Europe where Ryanair aren't fighting the government over airport charges. Yet, they screw the customer more with add ons themselves.

usually companies cannot just debit your account on the spot - but thats why terms and conditions are so important. i have not read the ryanair ones but if you hit the 'agree to t&C' and giving them the right to debit your account - then they are able to do this.
not nice - but if you had travelled with another airline - surely they will have to collect this new charge from passengers as well. !! cant just be ryanair.

I whinge and moan about Ryanair most of the time, but to be honest have rarely had an issue with them. Mainly fly to the UK with them without any hassle. Was abit wary of flying to Rome and Gran Canaira with them, but no issues there either.

It's so easy to complain about Ryanair but, at the end of the day, they made air travel from Ireland affordable. Most people can afford Aer Lingus now if they want but choose to fly Ryanair. I know I do. It's dirt cheap and I won't complain about it.

Flying home with them yesterday was horrendous.

4 hours of screaming and crying

I know it's not their fault but it was like a creche. Don't understand parents who bring babies no more than a few months old on holiday.

Very inconsiderate!

I would have thought it was you doing all the screaming and crying Shaggy when you found out that the dishy steward you were giving eyes to was in fact straight and that he'd run out of Piper Heidseck mini champers bottles half way through the flight.
