I was just quoting you...
To which you replied that you never said it, and that you "[...] mentioned that [you]'d prefer to pay the €5 for priority boarding and not have to wait at the other airport for [your] bag.".

So if it does not make sense... that is probably why I questioned why you were linking the two...

I'm sure you've seen one of these at the airport......

If the Ryanair staff at the boarding gate selected your bag and it didn't fit then you were charged €50 to put the bag in the hold. Waiting to pick up my bag at the destination airport doesn't bother me. My point is that I don't mind paying a mere €5 extra for priority boarding on the fare to effectively check in my bag for free!

Confusing! So you can bring a 10kg bag for free but you must check it in?

They usually take it off you on boarding but you can still carry it on if you have priority boarding.

I don't want priority boarding. So they just take the bigger cabin bag off you? That's fine.

If it stops all the basics from flying with Ryanair then this is the best news.

Nothing worse than turning up to a Ryanair flight going on your exotic half board holiday to Benidorm and seeing some skanky hen party in the boarding queue or parents with their little brat they gave birth to 5 minutes ago.

Ryanair has announced it plans to cancel 40-50 flights daily for the next six weeks (to the end of October) to improve its punctuality.

Lamest excuse ever.

They've lost a lot of pilots to Norwegian Airlines. More likely to be the reason.

I'm holidaying in Crete in October and will have to take Ryanair. 4 hours and 20 mins on a Ryanair flight seems like a daunting prospect.

Take a book and lots of word puzzles and be thankful that you are not on a long haul nightmare, four hours is a doddle.

I plan to take a good book for the flight. I've done long-haul 11 hour flights many times in the past, but nothing longer than 2 hours with Ryanair. It'll be a new experience!

I completed four and hour from Tenerife last Tuesday night. My tips:
Bring some decent ear plugs if you want sleep due the constant advertisements.
If budget permits, do priority boarding and reserve seat near the toilets, it does help and takes out that extra stress.
Bring you a tablet to watch a movie, laptops are not great in the small space.

Enjoy the break
