Anyway, there was a Brazilian film kicking about quite a few years ago that dealt with that kind of brotherly love. Was pretty hot, actually!

Tiger Orange was an enjoyable enough indie movie. It said what it wanted to say about two estranged gay brothers and not much else. A bigger budget might have afforded another 30 minutes, some character development and a less choppy ending.

Interestingly the younger brother was played by Frankie Valenti, a former porn star. He was actually quite good.

Check out this Brazilian film with a similar theme.

Hopefully you can find a good English subtitled version somewhere.

I watched it a couple of years ago and found it fascinating, though not without its flaws.

Tangerine This looks fantastic! All shot on an iphone5 and premiered at Sundance with two transgendered prostitutes as the central characters set in a sunny L.A on Christmas eve.
I can't wait to see this!

There are some reasonably good LGBT films on Netflix. I saw the film Lazy Eye last week. It was quite good. Tiger Orange is pretty good too - I love that one of the brothers (the one who comes to visit) is unashamedly out and rather horny! Surprised at the homophobia of rural California.

Off to the Lighthouse cinema in Dublin today to see Angels in America Perestroika. It's not quite a film, as usually understood. It's a screening of a play from the National Theatre in London.

Sounds exciting. Saw Metallica, Slayer Megadeth and Anthrax live at a cinema a few years ago. Fantastic experience. Would love to see a play as well.

Bah. It's on tomorrow, not today. (Glad, though, that I made the mistake in that order and not the other way around.)
