Auto Pay allows you to pay your bill by Direct Debit which is the most convenient way to pay your bill. As you do not currently avail of Auto Pay a payment administration fee of 3.75 per bill will be applied from August.

So the bill will be increasing by nearly 6 per month, which is an increase of 13.3%.

The admin fee was €3 previous if you didn't pay by Direct Debit. Not sure if they ahd applied this to your account but it was standard.

Sure, no it wasn't applied to my account. In January they asked me to pay by DD, which I declined to do. They agreed to waive the fee for the duration of the contract. I don't really see why I would pay it now when I've already agreed a waiver.

They tell me about the on demand service, thats great except its not available in my area.
They tell me they have increased the broadband speed, thats great but the speed it was at was good enough, i dont actually see any benefits for what i use the computer for.

+1

We've been told about 3 times that the broadband speed has been increased but I notice absolutely no difference.
Also agree on the other 2 points - many people still do not have HD TVs or smartphones.

We are in an apartment block so when we move to a house we will get Freesat. I think everyone should! It's a once off payment for the equipment then no more TV subscription bills..

UPC I think are great. Always professional and prompt. Better than most other Internet suppliers I've had so I don't mind paying the little extra fr peace of mind and security.

Very shoddy indeed. It seems to me that this is a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. I hope you kept printed records of all correspondence between you and the company?

It would be good wouldn't it .

Sadly no, it was agreed by phone. However when they started denying ever having spoken to me they retreated to go and listen to the call and subsequently conceded that they had indeed agreed a price and made a contract. So, no I don't have it in writing, but there's a recording. Somewhere. Apparently.

Sounds like an ironclad contract .

Needless to say the fuckers never bothered their arses to reply.

I suppose I'd better wait 'till I get the bill before I complain to the communications regulator.

Well, if they had, wouldn't that imply that they were talking through their arses - which would hardly be of any benefit

all the channels that are on their value pack are all available on free to air depending on what tv package you got from them i worked for them for about 10 years and they never had a good customer care team to be honest there broadband is probably the best out there at the moment speed wise but ye should try getting digi web there quite good withe there service and your not waiting weeks for service calls there offering up to 30 megs at the moment

You still need to have an aerial or a dish to be able to get the free to air channels

So anyone with an apartment that does not have digital tv subscription will have nothing after the switch?
