My statement may not of been clear enough or may of just of confused you.

I stopped reading at that point.

I don't have an active interest in drugs, so I'll leave this thread to the experts.

As long as old people run the country there will be no change.

I suspect if an 18 year old knew your age they would consider you as "old" too.

Hmm. I'm not so sure on your reasoning. I wonder is it my grammar or the message. I don't have an active interest in drugs either (yey for commonality) but personally I think we can all learn from personal insights along side those who are more aware and educated on such matters.

When did we vote for that? Just a passive association or active policy? I've heard a lot about the Portuguese model but to be honest, haven't overly explored it beyond a casual glimpse. Any decent links?

My understanding is that it has greatly reduced HIV deaths from drugs.but had little affect on the numbers taking drugs.

Thanks - I hope to give that a decent read tomorrow - back to, when did we vote for that? I also wonder what the front line support services are saying about it all?

All the bullshit spend on trying to contain drugs is a joke.. People are gonna do what they want to do.. Money would be better invested in Schools, Hospitals, ETC.

One hopes. Two thoughts,

1. I pray this isn't a sop to mask the shameful quashing of the bill to legalise medical marijuana.
2. While I welcome this, I'm beyond annoyed that legalisation (and ergo taxation) is not being considered for cannabis at least.
