Even if Samsung did wilfully infringe patents, I think it's better for competition in the long run that Apple has a competitor that can match or surpass it - at a lower cost to consumers - in the smartphone market.

That would kind of put me off buying an iphone.

I find the apps on iOS are much much much higher quality and far more polished than on Android. And they're fairly cheap too. Huge selection of ad-free apps and can get pretty great stuff for €1.49 or less.

But they don't have a removable battery so it's probably Samsung S3 for me. Especially after I discovered a spare batter and external charger is only £20. Pop a spare battery in my bag, handy for when I'll be traveling.

Probably will be an Android for me from now on even if the paid apps aren't anywhere as near as polished.

I'm leaning towards Android myself next time. Gotta love that expandable memory.

The Apple top 10 apps are always the same, gets a bit boring. Would be nice to see new stuff instead of 10 million angry birds.

I mean development wise even.

Some apps on the android are not at the same level as the Apple apps.

Yeah I've heard that too - what with all the different devices / resolutions, they can be a bit janky presentation wise.
