Service Notice : Due to network maintenance Gaire may be unavailable on Tuesday night between 12am and 6am.

Do you find it hard to keep it up all night?

So, are the upgrades at the server end anything to do with the fact that I now need to log in every time I open the website version of Gaire?

Could be a server side date format issue. Will look into it.

In the meantime you could try deleting cookies for Gaire to see if that resolves the matter.

Do you have any idea how scary that suggestion is? ()

Deleted the cookies and kust closing the browser window with Gaire open still leads to a situation where I must log in again.

I have made some adjustments to the cookie script that may help. I also noticed that my version of Internet Explorer (v11) wasn't saving cookies. I was able to fix this by doing the following :

Click Options
Then privacy tab
Then the advanced button
Then check the box that says override automatic cookie handling and click OK

I am not able to reproduce this problem in my Firefox. Perhaps you could try clearing the cookies again for www.gaire.com and gaire.com and check that you con't have any cookie settings that prevent cookies being saved.

Arrgghh. It's just got worse. It used to be that I had to log in every time I opened the browser. Now, after a Mozilla upgrade, closing the browser tab forces a login.

(I did clear the cookies for gaire. I don't know what setting might prevent a cookie being saved.)

Click Options

Click Privacy & Security

Under History click the drop down and select use custom settings for history

Then check that the tick box is ticked for

x Accept cookies from websites

and the keep until setting is "they expire"

In same section click Show Cookies...

Search for gaire and then click the remove all shown button

Hopefully that should work.
