I doubt he would announce about prostate and cancer in his tailbone if it wasn't already confirmed.

I thought the same too.

The sooner 2016 fucks right off the better!!

A close friend who is currently spending the year in Australia found out that one of his best friends died on Friday. He's bereft!

My aunts husband passed away in the early hours of yesterday morning.

And I've just learned that the elderly mother of a family friend died a few hours ago.

It's not been the best of weekends.

Look, I'm sorry to hear so many passing and it is very sad at this time of year. But we all go that way, eventually and try not get too depressed about it?

Tell that to my friend who lost one of his best friends over the weekend and is beside himself with grief!!

Arrangements will now have to be made within my family to help look after my elderly aunt!

How nice for you to be so blas├ę about bereavement!

Sorry, if I was being insensitive and I hope next year will be more positive for you.

My boss went in for a health check up and they found she had breast cancer and she had the operation to remove the breast and thought she was cancer free. However she still felt pain and thought am not healing right and decided something was wrong and went to the doctor and they found she had cancer in her stomach and liver and now just has a few months to live so really sad as she is young.

Cancer is such a bitch.

Are you close to her?
(And pragmatically, does that impact your work now or in the future?)

Yes as she was a great boss and well liked and always on top of things and we would go out for drinks from time to time with everyone from the office she was really nice. She just got married last year so sad really.

I had family who died of cancer I think most of us know someone who had or has cancer. My aunts birthday soon and it has been 20 years since she died of a brain tumor in her 40s and my grandmother also died from cancer so sad really.

Bummer.

At least she has people to support her, in her private and professional life.
She is probably now on permanent medical leave, but I hope you have a chance to give her proper good-byes.

I went in the other day and bought her a pair of pjs and a dressing gown. She has lots of support from her husband.

A few weeks ago as I was running out of the house for work, I noticed my dog had a slight tilt to her head. I thought it was funny at the time (she was looking at me in almost a puzzled sort of way). But then as the days went by I noticed it was still sorta there.. so I mentioned it to a few of my family and they had actually spotted it as well.

So my mam and I brought her to the vet, who advised it could be a number of things.. vestibular disease (dog vertigo), stroke or worst case scenario.. brain tumour.

She's been on medication (to treat the possible vertigo) the last 10 days but doesn't seem to be improving...and the vet thinks it's most likely something going on in her brain. She's not in any pain, just with a permanent tilt which has gotten a lot worse, and her coordination hasn't been great - but we're gonna be keeping her on the medication and paying close attention to her over the next few weeks. I'd be devastated if we had to put her down...we've had her 11 years now. But we're all in agreement that we wouldn't let her suffer.

Her tilt is fairly bad..

The poor thing. Hope it's nothing serious and she gets better soon.
