Hospitals Are F*cked

# 1 : Friday 19-10-2012 @ 00:53

Next year we are going to see hospitals closing, or at the best they will be running on a skeleton staff.

Its going to happen, so dont get sick any time soon.

If you have to get sick then do it NOW, get it out of the way ASAP.

The crisis in our hospitals is caused by the sick people who clog up the system, the old,the sick and the weak are a menace to society,ve should think about eliminating this problem.

Scare mongering doesn't really help given the desperate state of the HSE and the worst part of all of this is that the HSE is a throw back to Martin's time as head of department. Yet yesterday we hear that Fianna Fail are up in the polls?

Not just the HSE. They're a drain on the taxpayer and government.

So don't have babies.

656 patients on trolleys today ... highest number ever !

HSE and dept of health know every winter flu is coming and yet they are not able to " manage" it more money is spent on our Health system than most European countries I wonder what they are doing wrong?

Is that per head of capita or maybe a percentage of GDP/GNP or are we actually/Physically spending more on our healtcare system than Germany..??

It seems nuts that we spend more on healthcare than most of European neighbours. There must be a hell of a lot wastage and too many admin/management staff. I heard from someone that some management meetings of hospitals take place in local restaurants and staff in attendance get a full dinner and drinks paid by the hospital.

They've admitted today overcrowding in hospitals has nothing to do with seasonal flu so it's just bad management/ HSE as usual .
The HSE was supposed to be scrapped by this government.

Minister Harris admitted today its the low number of consultants in this country that causes the hospital crises ... hello Fine Gael threw the troika out of the country the second they tried to touch the legal and medical profession " closed shop" in this country that limits the number of posts and means for consultants we are the most underrepresented per head of population in the OECD!
Other countries have many more consultants and imagine full cover in hospitals that's 24 hour that's not on call that's actually in the hospital doing the job they are paid to do which is one of the reasons their hospitals work and ours don't .
Also if there were more consultants posts here i.e. It wasn't a closed shop , then more of our doctors wouldn't emigrate as they'd see a future here or they'd return after gaining experience abroad.
