Do you have an unusual car that it's been reclassified as high risk?

Not that unusual plus I have the same car for the past few years and this is the first years it has increased so much.

I will try a few of the online companys but my policy has Open Driving meaning anyone with a full lic. can drive it, they don't need to have insurance themselves.

Anyone driving your car would need insurance themselves as when they would be driving your own car they would only have 3rd party cover.

No - I have Open Driving on my car - Anyone between 24 and 70 years of age with a Full Clean Lic. can drive my car under my policy, they do not need their own policy.

The policy relates to someone driving my car only - if I drive another car then I will only be covered third party on that other car.

Ah I get you now. Didn't realise you had Open Driving as part of your own policy.

Its amazing how much of a difference there is in quotes, I have one at the moment for 310e and have also been getting quotes for 500e to 600e, just shows you it pays to shop around.

Why has car insurance gone up by so much? I am getting quotes of between 600 and 800e when last year I paid 370e
