Car Insurance

Feckin chancers at Liberty tried to raise my insurance by nearly €400
Another year older, another years no claims (never had an accident in a car, not a single claim).

Told them to shove it up their hoop and 20 mins later I'm insured with BDR for €380 less.

Last year my insurance when up by over €150.00 with FBD....I when through the AA, I had to become a member but I saved €105.00 in the process. I'm sure when it comes for renewal this year it will have increase again...as my colleague did the same and her increase was over €100.00

Mine attempted to hike the price by 200. I refused to pay that and told them I'd found a 350 cheaper quote with extras included. They agreed to match it. Happy days

Just had my renewal today and Chill got in touch looking for over €1400 for TPFT
Over ten years no claims, no points and they more than double the premium

Cheapest 123 would offer was €1830
Axa wanted €2404
Asgard wanted €3113

I go onto the AA, took AA membership, added my girlfriend to the policy, €710 fully comp including AA recovery/assistance in any car I'm driving or a passenger in.

I know It's hilarious shit.
A mate didn't believe me, so I took a pic of my screen at one stage.
The quotes were hilarious

Even on the phone they wouldn't budge. So I voted with my feet and ended up with a cheaper policy with better benefits at AA.

Who the f**k thinks it's normal business practice to ask a 44 year old male with no points and a perfect driving record in cars for over 3 grand to insure a car?

Well what would they do? There's no price control in Ireland, that's capitalism.
