I'm meeting my friend from earlier in this thread and his sister and the whole family tomorrow. If the situation arises I might ask her out on a date but I'm making no hard and fast plans.
I'm so weak willed

Don't date but I shop at my local Tesco. Too afraid to try anything other than the internet for meets and I want to lose weight before I am prepared to risk that again.

That is more than just "local".
Make sure you balance the value of the friendship, with the possible outcomes.
Is it worth it?
If so, don't let it be a surprise to the guy who might feel used or disrespected.
I am not telling you to ask him for permission, but maybe to express your interest in his sister in a manner that gives him a chance to express his opinion, and maybe even prepare the ground for you if your intentions are noble.

If your intentions are only transient, then pass your way without a second look back.

Oh Blah. ! You're after adding another layer of complexity to my life. But of course I value your opinion.

One more layer to unwrap before you can stare at the naked bosom of life, truth, and beauty. I have just made your life sexier in a way

I don't know if Noble and Transient have to be mutually exclusive. Maybe both good and bad qualities at different times.

You tell us!
How did it go?

(Also, ask yourself how you'd welcome a boy-friend of your sister or mother introducing himself as "only there for a short while, just for fun")
