It's odd Amsterdam only has a Pride since 1996.

As soon as they sober up they'll edit the footage and you'll be able to relive the event as if you were there.

Can I ask why is watching this parade a thing? Is it better than other pride parades or what?

I just can't imagine myself watching a parade on video, bit pointless for me.

YOu;d know you weren't Irish! I think its a rural tradition to sit around on St Patricks day watching the 'colourful floats' of the Dublin parade. Then you'd hit the local parade complete with tractors and a fire engine if your town lucky enough...

Tripper, I'm not Irish but I was there for 12 years, long enough to be at many a parade, both Dublin and in Ballygobackwards.

I get the appeal of a parade in real life, but for me a video is a bit pointless. That said, I haven't watched this particular parade so maybe it's fucking amazing.

It's unique in that it is on water. All the 'floats' float.

That and I LOVE A'dam.

Ah Ok.

I have a friend who now lives in Amsterdam. He's Dutch but a country boy, we used to work together in Frankfurt. Been to Amsterdam a couple of times, I also love it (not as much as you, though).

My first McDonald's meal was in Amsterdam in 1987!

80's McDonald's was actually quite good, or maybe that's just nostalgia. Anyway I must go again soon, if for no other reason to kick his stupid blonde ass.

He's just after doing something really stupid.

Unfortunately they charge for tickets and I just happen to have no money.

And thanks for the link, because after being in Deutschland 3.5 years and having own Bahncards and made the several hundred kilometres trek up to Hamburg many a time and even Koppenhagen on a night train, I wasn't aware of the existence of our national Rail Service!!
