Beards

What is causing the outbreak of beards among young men?.
Why do you think so many are pushing the hirsute agenda?
Do you love/hate them?.
Personally i'm apathetic about them, but if pushed,i'd lean towards the "they look like shite" stance as I just don't see them growing on me,how about you?. Thoughts please.

Full bushy beards have been in vogue for young guys for quite a while now. Some can carry off the look but I'm afraid that most can't. In my opinion big beards are suited to older men, not 20something metrosexuals.

I grew a beard when they weren't fashionable. Does that make me a hipster?

They are out of fashion now, I think unemployment and the price of decent razors had a lot to do with it.

You're 25 so you must have been at most 19 to grow one before they were fashionable in which case I doubt it looked particularly full.

There is also the ludicrous cost of disposable blades to consider. Plus shaving is a pain so why not grow a beard if it suits you?

I grew it around Easter 2009. It looks pretty much the same now as it did then (except I keep it trimmed shorter).

I've had a beard since I was 19. It was full not peach fuzz.
It's at it's longest now, Shavian if not longer.
Funny that, using Shavian to describe a beard.
