The African woman seemed a bit forward with the Donegal man.

Surprised that Amy says she has been single all her life.

The young lad who said super a lot was really odd. He was so earnest though it would be very hard to turn him down, you would feel like you were killing him.

Is it produced by RTE or are they just paying the UK rate for UK quality?

It's made by an Irish production company called Coco Productions.

How does it work?
Do you know you will be in the background, or do they film everybody and only keep the interesting couples? And do you get paid? Do you have a chance to be a foreground couple in the future?

I think that's one of Dragons Den's Norah Casey's companies

I applied and was asked to go on as a "background date" meaning I was there in the restaurant on a date with someone. Only difference is your conversation isn't filmed. I was way over in the corner of the room and didn't see myself on TV on the first episode which was the one I was at.

I've applied again to appear on the next series.
