President Trump / Oompa Loompa News

One thing for sure is that the USA is divided as never before with Trump's election. Urban versus rural, North vs South, the liberal coasts verses the right wing heartlands, the Rustbelt versus the Sunbelt. It's great to see all those millions of women coming out in protest at Trump's inauguration. My sister in Canada took part in one of the marches,

If Trump's presidency is as bad as is feared by many, I can see certain States making moves to secede from the Union.

I couldn't give a crap either way. I don't pay tax in America.
What bugs me is when numpties see pics on social media feeds and take it as facts.

This made me laugh today.

The rise of the extreme right, should concern us all and we should stop history from repeating itself again.

Come on folks. Calm down. The President has just been inaugurated.

And look on the bright side we will be seeing a lot of Jared Kushner! The most handsome man in NYC.

That ugly cunt? There is no bright side to Trump, none whatsoever!!! Apparently Trump is about to announce that the USA is contentiously moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Trump is the death nail in the coffin of Palestinian independence.

Almost all presidential candidates, including Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, made the same pledge to move the embassy, but once inaugurated backed down on their promise, invoking the executive waiver to the 1995 congressional mandate to relocate the embassy stating that it was not in the American national interest at that time.

The waiver has been re-signed every six months for the past 22 years, with the latest waiver signed by Obama expiring on June 1, meaning Trump would not be able to begin the process until six months into his term as president. Those six months will likely see strong push backs against many of his policies, including moving the embassy to Jerusalem.

he is doing it as much for us bat shit crazy Bible Belt as he is for Israel ,there will prob be more opposition in Israel than in GOP us ,
The right in Israel have tried to storm the Temple Mount three times in the last few years , that would have a far more destructive effect in the Middle East than any us action

He won't last. He'll be impeached before the year is out. The Republicans will force him out. Before then half his staff will have walked out or been fired. I worked with psychopath like Trump once. They can't take disagreement or advice of any sort. It's all about their ego. Staff turnover was horrendous. It will be the same with Trunp.

Then the real president Pence will take over. Wait until you see what the loony right of the Republican party get up to.

It is worth noting though that Trump's appointee as ambassador to Israel is well beyond the pale on these matters, referred to Jews who favour the two state solution as 'kapos', as in the Jews who cooperated with the Nazi's in the concentration camps. He has expressed his hope to work in Jerusalem and reports from Israeli media indicate that he will live there at least.

Apparently however it has been reported that this seems to falling off the Trump agenda, so we will have to wait and see if it becomes another of his broken promises.

1. Will he be impeached...
Republicans control both houses of congress, if they didn't have the balls to neuter him when they could what makes you so confident that they will do so now? Many, many Republicans agree with the most radical of his positions. Many more will put up with just about anything in order to have their specific agendas (low taxation, abortion, immigration, gay rights) put through. Even the doubters have to be worried about the fact that Trump was able to launch a movement (albeit one that lost the popular vote) that up ended many of there most sacred positions, attacking GWB, the Iraq war, free trade, economic liberalism, they could be primaried from the (even further) right and end up out on their ear.

That sad there are some who must surely be bitterly resentful of what has happened them and their party, McCain, Graham, Rubio, Cruz etc. That would jump at the chance. If it is going to happen it has to be something truly appalling, something inescapably awful (live footage of Trump having interracial gay sex, him as the bottom and loving it) in order to happen.

2. Even if he is what happens next?

Unless he is impeached (+ more) for something utterly devastating I am not sure we should be so happy about the idea of him being impeached, and not only because Pence is a soulless automaton who would happily grind us all to death if the Lord asked him. Trump has demonstrated no loyalty to Republicans, or basically any of the values they were assumed to hold, and he still won over their base. He is objectively a disgusting human being who lies for sport and he still won over a significant section of the public. He has previous form calling for insurrection in the US. He is in bed with many people who hold wildly radical views, and has empowered them. Removing him from the Presidency might only be the beginning of an incredibly nasty turn in the US.

I saw on the news that Trump has signed an executive order reversing Obama's decision to halt construction of the controversial Dakota oil pipeline. C*nt. this is only a little taster of what is to come.

It doesn't have to be that bad to be impeached. His failure to release his tax returns tells you all you need to know. Right now the Republicans are holding their nose and waiting for their moment. He has no loyalty to the Republicans, you're right. That will be his downfall. But meanwhile he's going to lie and lie just like his puppetmaster Putin. But he will not last very long.

Yes you're right that is the real danger. He has empowered the worst of America and they will soon have the chance to put their alternative facts into use.
