So Eurovision season is well underway with 3 countries having already chosen their selections for Kiev, Ukraine on May 13th. Belarus picked a good song tonight. Probably their best ever.

Did I hear Ireland already have their act, someone from Louis Walshe's band Hometown?

You heard correctly. The song hasn't been chosen yet though.

Is it the same one that's on dancing with the stars?

No. A google search tells me that it's Dayl Cronin that is taking part in Dancing with the Stars.

Brendan Murray will be representing us in Kiev in May.

Loreen, runaway winner for Sweden in 2012 is back in the Swedish melodifestival. She's the last performer in the last semi final and the writer is one of Sweden's best.

Charlotte Perilli is one of the finalists too I think.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest of Sweden overtake Ireland's record of 7 wins in the next few years.

Charlotte Pirelli looks like someone stretched a pink condom over a skull. She bombed the last time she did Eurovision so I doubt she'd get the ticket to Kiev. Apparently it's between Loreen and some boy band and yes, Sweden will take over Ireland in the next couple of years.

Are the Swedes invading us ? I always thought they were a friendly nation.

Eurovision in a Scandinavian country does not come cheap. I had planned to go this year except I can't now. Going to Ukraine in September instead.

The 6 UK songs are out for the final on Friday. No winner in there but I think this could do well if it gets selected.
