Mediocre in the main, Denmark is dire, Hungary is good, Moldova o/k. Loved Italy's meditative "OM" at the end of their song.

Ireland's entry

Not a fan, can't deal with his voice. It's another ballad anyway and for me instantly forgettable.

Also he needs to sort the choir idea out, he won't be bringing them with him.

Looks like they let Conor out of prison in Red Rock to appear in the video

I like the song although it seems to be getting a "play it safe" reaction online.

There's a stong writing team behind it. The song was written by Jörgen Elofsson and James Newman. Eloffson is a veteran pop songwriter responsible for hits like Shayne Ward’s That’s My Goal, Leona Lewis’ A Moment Like This, Kelly Clarkson’s Stronger and Britney Spears’ (You Drive Me) Crazy.

He’s also written a pile of songs for Irish artists like Bellefire, Jedward and Westlife. In fact, he’s the man to thank for Westlife bangers like If I Let You Go, Fool Again and Unbreakable.
James Newman is a British songwriter, who has penned hits like Waiting All Night by Rudimental and Love Me Like You by Little Mix.

If Brendan Murray doesn't win the Eurovision, he will win the rosiest cheeks in the World competition.

Another pretty little gelding from the Louis Walsh stables.

This song is way too slow and dreary for Eurovision. Campy disco would've been a better bet.

Would that work though? Look what happened with Ryan Dolan in Malmo in 2013!

His performance on the day wasnt great but yeah last place was a bit unfair for us / him.

Maybe someone with more stage presence could pull that style off?

Ireland seem to always insist on having the maximum 6 people to fill the stage when there's no need for it.

I've listened to this years song a few times now and while I still like it, Brendan Murray's voice is beginning to grate on me. Hopefully his voice won't break on the night

Most of the songs this year seem to very ballad heavy. Belarus and Denmark are the only two standing out to me so far. Hopefully Sweden will select this song tonight following their unforgivable mistake of not sending through Loreen's song last week

Of course it would work.

Jedward did great.

Get the song right, get the performer right and you're on to a good thing.
