Some Kind Folk To Take Me Out

# 1 : Sunday 2-4-2017 @ 14:54

Hey all,

I've recently returned from 14yrs in Australia. I left as a lesbian woman, transitioned to a man in au and now I'm in between sexes...

Seeing as I'm a long time away from the Irish scene, I'm looking for some kind folk to take me out and show me what's out there, maybe some venues are still familiar. Near Dublin.

Cheers
J

I wouldn't be any use to you Jayden as its a few years since I have been on the scene.

I do hope someone messages you and makes arrangements. Good luck

Haha....I'm already wishing I stayed in Oz! The adjustment back has been far from easy. I've been here 6 months and haven't been out on the scene at all. I'll keep an eye out for the next meet up then unless I get a better offer!

You may be waiting a while for a gaire meet! There are social groups that you could join. I know there's a book club in OutHouse, a dining group, DIGS - the Dublin International Gay Social, a range of sports groups (soccer, rugby, tennis, swimming, hill walking, running), and others.

DIGS has a newcomers Sunday Social next week, 9 April (see below for link -- you'll need to sign-up for full access.)

There's a transgender group that meets in Outhouse every 2nd Wednesday. Contact Outhouse maybe?

Thanks everyone, yeh I have been in touch with with some of those groups. I was just wanting people to go out with really on the scene, like rent some queer friends for an evening-

Join a gay social group, like out&about hillwalking, they have social events on and off the scene.

Front runners is a good social group as well, or maybe one of the choirs?

You'd have to be really into running though. Surely there are less painful ways to socialize?

I think the choir would be more painful
