I was like No. 24,100 in the queue so I gave up. The first round is the busiest. Next round of tickets is December 20 for sitting Final tickets and semi final tickets. Today was less than 2,000 tickets.

First look at the stage. The designer must be obsessed with arches!!

It's soooooo generic just like his lazy ass stage last year! Why didn't Portugal get some home grown talent to design their stage?

He can't do any worse than acts sent in previous years.

Ireland need to seriously consider withdrawing from the competition until we can get our act together, pardon the pun and send over a decent song!

I don't want to insult Johnny Rotten by making this joke..

It's a tv show Boggy! Ireland knows exactly what it's doing. The point of RTÉ entering is to get 8 hours prime time tv for a knockdown price not to win.

Well Sweden are hot on our heels catching up on our 7 wins. RTE don't seem to give a fuck about retaining that record.

They don't! 7 wins is plenty.

21 / 22 years is a long time to wait for a Irish win through. A Melodifestivalen type selection process might help secure another win Eurovision win for Ireland. We haven't qualified for the Grand Final since 2013 and it's disheartening to see that RTE don't seem to give a crap about winning anymore.

It's not really! Many countries have waited longer for a win. Portugal over 50 years, Austria 49, Belgium 30, Malta 44 years, Iceland 32 years, Cyprus 38 years, Poland/Romania/Slovakia/Lithuania 23 years, Norway 27 years, Spain 48, Germany 29 ect..

It's just a bad run. But RTÉ had a series of meetings this year with fans, songwriters ect to see how to do better so hopefully something will come of that.
